The grass is not greener on the other side

So after some serious soul searching, I decided that I really had to leave my job. The big problem is finding a job that pays the same or more, so after some searching and interviews I found a place that I thought would be good for me. Boy how wrong I was. I have only been there three days but I can see that this may not work out for me after all. The first day everyone was pulled into a meeting and was told that there will be a six week layoff without pay. I can't do that I have to support my family and with no income that is not going to happen. So I went the next day to talk to HR because they should have warned me and I would have delayed taking the job. At this point I am not sure what I am going to be doing and I am stressed out. My son is upset because I have had to cancel some skating practices for him and I know he really wanted to do it. I am going to see what I can do and go from there. Does anybody care?
