France

Now I have yet started cooking french food, still waiting until pay day to buy book but when I think about when I visited France I loved the country but did not like Paris in general. I loved visited the art and churches. The history was so wonderful, it makes you think about the past and wonder what truly drove the french to get rid of the system of Kings and Queens.
The people wiped out a system going back in time so far. Yes the Kings and Queens abused their power but so did other countries as well, Look at Russia!!!!!
Is England any better at this point, although I will always love Britian!!!

French and cooking

Do you know french cookbook and buying the items can cost a lot. I mean the cookbook is between 25.00-56.00 dollars depending on whether you buy it single or in a set(Julia's cookbook)and to go buy the items needed well there is another cost you forget. Yet for all the cost the taste is wonderful. You can not get it any where else. Yes other countries cook very well but the french well they have made an art out of cooking that we americans do not always show some appriacation for it.

I want to make beef stew with red wine as one of my first dishes. What do you think? What are your favorite dishes in french cooking, let me know.

French Cooking

Okay so I have not been good at keeping my writing on here but that is going to chance. I have decided to learn to cook like Julia and Julie. I love to try and cook new things so I am going to learn to cook French foods. I could not do what Julia and Julie did due to the fact I do not eat seafood and will not eat mushrooms therefore that limits my cooking but I will have fun with it.

I am going to buy the cookbook she wrote and go from there. I can not wait. I will do one reciepe at a time and if anyone out there knows a good one to start with than let me know.
